East Africa is home to some of the continents loftiest mountains including Mount Kilimanjaro “The Peak of Africa”, Mount Kenya and Mount Ruwenzori – all of them spotting snow covered peaks and lying a few degrees away from the Equator – Other mountains include Mt Elgon, and the Aberdare Mountain Range. All the three mountains can be climbed by any able bodied person. However, an extra night is advised for acclimatization for those that come from low attitude areas.
